Well, well, well….Milkis. I received this drink as a part of my subscription to SnackCrate which happened to consist of all sorts of goodies from South Korea this month. I made sure to throw this bad boy in the fridge, fighting against my desire to just pop it open and chug the entire can straight out of the box, but I digress.
After I let the drink chill out for a while I opened it up and gave it a good ole whiff! Is it milk? Is it soda?? What in the world does milk soda smell like? How would I even know??? Anywhooo…Milkis smelled nothing like milk (big plus) and even had a slight berry scent. I could also tell that the drink was carbonated which surprised me a tad. After a thorough investigation of everything but the taste, it was time to dive in!
The first sip was straight from the can and it was absolutely lovely. The drink was quite mild with just a hint of fruity flavors. Milkis almost tasted a tad bit too light but the carbonation definitely worked in its favor! Though the flavor was not overwhelming at all I could definitely see how it would be easy to down a can of this without a second thought.
I poured the second half of the drink into a clear glass to make sure that I was really taking it all in…emotionally, spiritually, and (obviously) physically. In the cup, Milkis resembled…you guess it...milk, but a sort of watered-down, almost skim-milk type of milk…with bubbles. But, it still tasted pretty darn good!
I rate Milkis a 3.5 out of 5.0 on the thirsty bish scale!
